 What is coaching?

 International Coaching Federation describe coaching as:

"Coaching is partnering with clients in a thoughtful, provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional development.

A coaching relationship exists when coaching includes a business agreement or contract that defines the responsibilities of each party."

Coaching with Ruth is .....

a partnership which explores what you're looking to achieve, in a transformative dialogue resulting in tangible outcomes.  

You will become clear about your aspirations, goals, values, explore options and create meaningful action plans and behavioural change.  Overcoming challenges, obstacles and "blocks" and achieving your objectives.

How does it work?

Each coaching session consists of a 1 to 1 meeting or phone call  lasting between 1, 1.5 or 2 hours. These can be arranged at a frequency,  time and location of your choice. 

Ruth is based in London and available to coach face to face in the UK and internationally by telephone.

What will happen in the first session?

Its all about discovery - together we will:

  • Clarify your short and long term goals
  • Get to know what's important to you
  • Establish how the coaching relationship will work (including how we will know the coaching is successful)

This session will be longer 1.5 to 2 hours to cover the above.  At the end of every session you will leave clear about your insights and next steps, with greater clarity and an agreed action plan to help move towards your goals.

How much does it cost?

Please contact me to discuss your specific requirements and budget.  Duration and frequency of coaching sessions can be tailored to meet your needs and circumstances.

This would be agreed from the outset and included as part of the coaching contract.

An initial session plus three coaching sessions is the minimum I would recommend. Greater regularity of coaching interactions can mean greater momentum.

How quickly will I see results?

You will have identified goals and be able to start taking action for change from the very first session, plus you will have new insights influencing your behaviour.

The frequency of sessions and the circumstances you are in may affect the momentum you achieve. You may choose to have a more frequent coaching arrangement initially to accelerate change.

We will go at the pace that's right for you and your situation.  

The results and success you experience will depend on your personal commitment and openness to change, also your ability to reflect and take action between sessions.

Do we have a written agreement for Coaching services? 

We will discuss how the coaching partnership could work. Once the decision is reached to go ahead the terms of agreements for coaching would be signed off by each of us.  

What about confidentiality?

Confidentiality is paramount,  the coaching relationship is based on mutual trust, respect and confidentiality.  All information shared with the Coach will be strictly confidential as outlined in the coaching agreement.

I sign up to the International Coaching Federation code of conduct and ethics of which confidentiality is one element.

Privacy Policy: in line with the General Data Protection Regulation ( GDPR) I have a Privacy Policy, this will be loaded onto the website shorlty - meantime, please email me on the email address below and I will gladly send you a copy.
